Job Description

Lutheran World Federation/Department of World Service Kakuma Program is seeking to recruit for the following position in Kalobeyei Reception Centre.

Duties and responsibilities.

  • Maintenance of sanitation within Kalobeyei Reception Centre.
  • Observe cleanliness in latrines and bathrooms as per sphere standards.
  • Assist in offloading and loading of food and non-food items at Kalobeyei Reception Centre in support of received asylum seekers.
  • Assist in environmental awareness including planting and watering of trees within Kalobeyei Reception Centre.
  • Ensure shelters are safe and clean once the asylum seekers are received at Kalobeyei reception center.
  • Report on the facility that needs urgent repair at Kalobeyei reception Centre supervisor for immediate action.
  • Assist management in identifying gaps for planning purposes to improve on services provided to receive asylum seekers.
  • Perform any other duty as assigned by management.

Duties Qualifications:

  • Must be a registered refugee with UNHCR
  • Must be a resident of Kalobeyei Village 1
  • Must be 18 years and above.
  • Any other additional training certificate will be added advantage.
  • High level of integrity, commitment and professional responsibility.
  • Ability to tolerate and respect cultural and religious diversity in the work place
